Fall Favorites!

Today marks the first official day of winter!  This is also a perfect day to share my fall favorites. I photographed three of my dearest friends, a few wonderful families, one beautiful senior and as with every season I like to photograph a little nature as well.

Running Family Pictures - La Crosse, WI

Fall family sessions have turned out to be one of my favorite things ever! The colors from the trees and the leaves on the ground are just beautiful. The combination made me that much more excited to take pictures of Chris, Amanda and Mya! Mya has grown so much since our last shoot. I loved her little ponytail and of course her cute boots. Renee & Andrew -- Holmen, WI

I have had the joy of knowing Renee since I was in kindergarten. I always enjoy our time together, so I was excited when I got the opportunity to photograph her and her boyfriend, Andrew. It was a perfect fall day and they are a hoot. We shared a lot of laughs in between shots. :) Here are my favorites!

Ben - Senior Photos - Cumberland, WI



A few weeks ago I made a trip up to Cumberland again, for my second senior session there. Ben is a long time family friend and an amazing drummer. His band Last Page even opened for The Dweebs at the Rutabaga Festival! I really enjoyed finding new locations in Cumberland and had a great afternoon with Ben. His girlfriend, and my favorite cousin, Chelsea made for a great assistant.

Sister Portraits - Holmen, WI

Yesterday I spent time with the beautiful Hicke sisters. Lauren and Ashley came to mind immediatly when I wanted to do a shoot with horses. Their beautiful head wreaths made this session a little bit more "styled". This type of shoot is my absolute favorite. I love props! :) You can check out my other favorite styled shoot here. I had so much fun with the girls and their sweet mom, Laurie. Laurie kindly drove a four wheeler out to meet the girls. I got to ride on the back with my camera bag, reflector and step ladder and she balanced a bucket of grain on the handle bars! She was an awesome assistant! We were blessed with abundant sunshine and the perfect location. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. It was a difficult choice, but here are my favorites! ...

Thank you Lauren and Ashley for being such absolutely perfect models. (and risking your life by sitting in the field with little spiders) :)

Also, thanks to my talented mother for making the floral head wreaths!
